Caring for hearts and minds is important to us at Kilkenny. Our pastoral care program is a valuable part of our wellbeing team, to support students, staff and families.

As part of the Pastoral Care program we aim to:

To provide wholistic and individually tailored support

  • Provide wrap around support
  • To help each person to thrive to the best of their ability
  • Supporting our community to be kind, brave and thrive as their best selves

Pastoral Care at Kilkenny is diverse and varied and may include:

  • One to one support
  • Social and emotional learning
  • Classroom support
  • Small groups programs such as Seasons for Growth for grief and loss
  • Supporting education/training sessions for staff and families
  • Food relief
  • Collaboration and engagement with local community services

Our Pastoral Care Worker, Hayley has been at part of the Kilkenny School community for over ten years. Hayley understands that life can be challenging and complex. She offers a safe and compassionate space where individuals can express themselves freely and walk with someone reliable through difficult times. Committed to a holistic approach, Hayley is passionate about helping people flourish—body, mind and soul.

The Pastoral Care program is supported by National Student Wellbeing Program through Schools Ministry Group (SMG), and the local church to support Kilkenny Primary School
